Karen Singbeil rose to fame after finishing as runner-up of reality show Big Brother Canada 5. She is also an award-winning real estate agent who has sold hundreds of properties and homes during a career spanning over 2+ decades and a Provincial Real Estate Instructor with British Columbia Real Estate Association who has trained other agents across British Columbia for the last ten years.

Singbeil was chosen to appear in the fifth series of Canada’s reality show Big Brother Canada – part of the global Big Brother franchise which premiered on March 15th, 2017 on Canadian television network Global . Her feisty personality and acid tongue helped her to become a firm fan favourite. As the oldest contestant taking part in the series she also grew in popularity for handing out frequent life advice to her younger housemates. Singbeil reached the last two of the series, finishing in runner-up position behind Kevin Martin. She was the oldest houseguest to make the Final 2 across all North American versions of the Big Brother franchise.

Despite missing out on the top spot on the show, Singbeil was a break-out star of the series, and in April 2020 she took part in Big Brother Canada versus Big Brother U.S, finishing in 15th place. Although she became a household name in Canada after appearing on the show, Singbeil has continued her career as a hugely successful real estate agent who loves to help her clients buy and sell properties.
