The luminous actress, producer and writer, Kathleen Robertson, is best known for playing Clare Arnold in Fox’s hit teen drama, Beverly Hills, 90210, and for the sitcom, Maniac Mansion. From 2014 to 2016, she starred as homicide detective Hildy Mulligan in TNT’s Murder in the First. She also played the main character in the hit TV series, Northern Rescue. She recently wrote and produced the Quibi TV drama, Swimming with Sharks, a contemporary update of George Huang’s 1994 film that both celebrates and skewers the Hollywood studio system.
The incredibly talented Robertson was born in Ontario, and started taking acting lessons when she was ten, quickly becoming a child star in her native Canada. She made her movie debut movie in 1985’s Left Out, and her TV debut came a year later when she appeared in the hit action-adventure series, My Secret Identity. She has since gone on to star in countless TV shows, including Girls Club, Law & Order, and The Boss, opposite Kelsey Grammer. Her numerous movies include, Scary Movie 2, The Vatican Tapes, with Dougray Scott, and Hollywoodland, with Ben Affleck and Diane Lane. In 2010 she began screenwriting, and five years later completed the Writers Guild’s Showrunners Training Program.
