Katie Sarife gained significant recognition for her powerful portrayal of real-life character Gina DeJesus in the 2015 Sony TV/Lifetime MOW Cleveland Abduction, starring opposite Taryn Manning. Prior to this, Sarife began her acting career with her television movie debut in Teen Spirit in 2011, quickly building her filmography with roles in Abel’s Field (2012) and the TV movie Zombies and Cheerleaders (2012). She also appeared in the TV show Sketchy the same year. In 2014, Sarife garnered further attention in the popular CW series Supernatural, appearing in the episode ‘Fan Fiction’ and contributing vocally to the soundtrack with performances of ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ (2014) and ‘A Single Man Tear’ (2015).
Further expanding her work, she appeared as The Girl in the music video ‘Spencer Sutherland: Wonder’ in 2020. In 2021, she guest-starred as Esther Ahmed in an episode of the acclaimed series This Is Us. More recently, Sarife wrapped filming on the thriller independent film So Cold the River (2022), written and directed by Paul Shoulberg, in which she played Kellyn Cage. Her recent work includes portraying Aliz Kazan in the series The Rookie: Feds from 2022 to 2023.
Katie Sarife also took on the role of Linda Jenkins in The Nana Project in 2023, which is currently in post-production. Looking ahead, she will appear as Beth Benson in the upcoming film Happy Endings Funeral Parlor (2024) and has an additional producing credit as she portrays Steph in the forthcoming film Stalked.
