Kerri Walsh Jennings

Kerri Walsh Jennings, a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist in Beach Volleyball, established an unparalleled career marked by consecutive championships and record-breaking wins. She achieved national recognition by leading Archbishop Mitty High School to three state volleyball championships (1993, 1994, 1995) and a state basketball championship (1995), earning her the inaugural Gatorade National High School Volleyball Player of the Year in 1996. She graduated with a B.A. in American studies in 2001 and was later inducted into the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame (2011) and the Pac-12 Hall of Honor (2018).

Notably, Walsh Jennings competed in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games while pregnant, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Walsh Jennings continued to excel in the sport, winning additional FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2005 and 2007. In 2013, she broke the career record for most wins by a female professional volleyball player, securing her 113th title at the FIVB Grand Slam in Xiamen. Her ability to overcome challenges was further highlighted in 2016, when she won the Rio Grand Slam despite undergoing five shoulder surgeries.

Her indelible impact on the sport will be recognized with her induction into the USOPC Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025.
