Kerry Condon

Kerry Condon was born on January 9, 1983, in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland. Her early interest in acting led her to pursue the profession from a young age, actively seeking opportunities. At 16, she secured a small role in the 1999 film ‘Angela’s Ashes’. By 2001, at the age of 18, Condon had established herself in the theater world by originating the role of Mairead in Martin McDonagh’s play ‘The Lieutenant of Inishmore’ for the Royal Shakespeare Company, later reprising the role in New York. The same year, she became the youngest actress to play Ophelia in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of ‘Hamlet’. Her career continued to develop with roles in film, including ‘Ned Kelly’ and ‘Intermission’ in 2003, and the Jet Li action-thriller ‘Unleashed’ in 2005.

Condon’s career progression saw her transition successfully between stage and screen. In 2005, she joined the cast of the HBO/BBC series ‘Rome’ as Octavia of the Julii, a role she held until 2007. A significant turning point in her career was her recurring voice role as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Iron Man’s artificial intelligence assistant, across multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, starting with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in 2015 and continuing through ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in 2019. Concurrently, from 2015 to 2022, she played Stacey Ehrmantraut in the critically acclaimed AMC series ‘Better Call Saul’.

The most prominent achievement in Condon’s recent career is her role as Siobhán Súilleabháin in Martin McDonagh’s 2022 film ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’. Her performance garnered widespread critical acclaim, leading to numerous accolades.
