Her early career saw her co-starring in the Disney Channel series *Austin & Ally* (2013) as Kira Starr and appearing in the Disney Channel original film *Cloud 9* (2014). She also made guest appearances in crime-drama series like *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2013). From 2014 to 2015, Clemons played Bianca in the comedy series *Transparent* and had a main role as Sophia in the MTV series *Eye Candy*. Her musical talent was showcased early on, contributing to soundtracks for *Dope*, *Hearts Beat Loud*, *Transparent*, and Disney’s live-action *Lady and the Tramp*.
