Kim Ravaillion, an Australian netball player, made history when in 2013 she became the first player to make an international debut before playing in a championship match for the ANZ (Australian and New Zealand) premier league. From this impressive start, Ravaillion would go on to dominate the world of netball for the next seven years, becoming a key player in several championship teams.
In 2014 Ravaillion was part of the Australian netball team that competed in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow Scotland. With Ravaillion on midcourt, Australia defeated Wales, England, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and South Africa to qualify for the semi-finals where they beat Jamaica. In the final game Australia defeated its rival New Zealand 58 to 40. Ravaillion and the Australian team achieved similar success the following year at the 2015 Netball World Cup, where once again Australia defeated Jamaica in the semifinals and New Zealand in the championship final, this time 58 to 55. Ravaillion was also part of the 2018 Australian netball team which earned a silver medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth games, where they narrowly lost to England, 51 to 52.
Ravaillion has also achieved significant success domestically, playing for the Queensland Firebirds, who won the ANZ championship in both 2015 and 2016. In 2017, she became a founding member of the Collingwood Magpies where she played until 2020. Ravaillion recently stepped back from the team following the birth of her daughter Georgie, with partner Adam Treloar, an Australian rules football player. Ravaillion can be on her Instagram, kimmyrav, where she posts about life, family, and fitness to over fifty thousand followers.
