South Africa Renske Stoltz has established herself as a prominent South African netball player, transitioning from national team representation to professional league competition and advocating for women in sports.
Renske Stoltz is an integral member of the South Africa national netball team, known as the SPAR Proteas. Her participation includes various national appearances, securing a significant partnership with a major national sports entity.
Renske Stoltz joined Wasps Netball for the 2018 Superleague season, following their championship win. This partnership involved playing for the professional team affiliated with Premiership Rugby team Wasps RFC.
Renske Stoltz joined Loughborough Lightning for the British Fast5 All Stars Netball Championship, securing a significant win and earning 'Player of the Series' honors.
Renske Stoltz played for the North West Flames from 2015 to 2017, participating in the Brutal Fruit Netball Cup, where she was recognized as a standout player.
Born on April 19, 1994, in Nelspruit, South Africa, Renske Stoltz developed her netball skills from an early age, having played the sport for seventeen years. She attended Hoërskool Rustenburg and later represented North-West University Potchefstroom in championship competitions. Stoltz’s early career saw her playing for the North West Flames from 2015 to 2017 in the Brutal Fruit Netball Cup, where she was recognized as a standout player in the 2016 Netball League.
Stoltz earned her first cap for the South Africa national netball team in 2015 against New Zealand in the Netball Quad Series. She also played for the under-19 Baby Proteas squad, progressing to represent South Africa at the senior level. A significant career move came in 2017 when she joined Loughborough Lightning for the British Fast5 All Stars Netball Championship, where her last-minute five-pointer secured the championship title against Team Bath and she earned the player of the series award. Following this achievement, she was selected to represent South Africa in the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series in Australia.
In 2018, Stoltz signed with the Netball Superleague champions Wasps Netball, further solidifying her professional career. She also featured in the 2019 Netball World Cup. Beyond her playing achievements, Stoltz actively advocates for women in sports, promoting gender equality and creating opportunities for aspiring athletes within the netball community in South Africa. Her contributions both on and off the court have made her a role model in her sport.
