Alt-pop band King No-One are one of the most exciting new acts to have burst onto the live scene at the start of the new decade. The undeniably talented trio stormed into the Indie charts with their debut EP in March 2019 reaching #2 on the Indie breakers chart.
Formed in York, the band quickly built their live reputation with a string of sold out shows across small UK venues, and after going down a storm in Manchester they decided to move to the centre of the Northern city where the likes of Oasis, The Smiths and The Stone Roses also started out. The move proved fruitful for the trio and soon after relocating they emerged as one of the UK’s hottest bands, first playing the iconic O2 Ritz then later selling out venues on two UK national tours. The band have also played some of the UK’s leading festivals, playing the BBC Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds and making main stage performances at Dot to Dot Festival, Y-Not festival, Tramlines and TRNSMT.
2020 may have been a difficult year for live bands, but that didn’t stop King No-One making an impact with their virtual live show at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, where they introduced two fresh new tracks. The band has also appeared across national media, with BBC Look North streaming a live set and impressive support on the radio from BBC Introducing nationwide.
