Kristian Nairn

Kristian Nairn, born on November 25, 1975, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, began his career as a successful DJ, performing alongside notable acts such as the Scissor Sisters. His diverse musical background as a progressive house/trance DJ led him to become a resident DJ at Kremlin, a gay club in Belfast. This musical foundation provided a platform for his later transition into acting, marking the beginning of a distinctive creative path that blended his passions for music and performance.

Nairn’s acting career commenced with a significant role in 2011 as Hodor in the HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’, a character he portrayed until 2016 across 23 episodes. This role marked his first major acting credit and garnered him widespread recognition. Following his success in ‘Game of Thrones’, he continued to expand his acting portfolio with roles such as Barnaby Silver in the TV series ‘Ripper Street’ (2012-2013) and appearances in films like ‘The Four Warriors’ (2015) and ‘Mythica: The Godslayer’ (2016).
