Kyle Alexander

Kyle John Solomon Alexander was born on October 21, 1996, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. His foundational sports experiences included soccer and volleyball before he began playing basketball in grade 11 at Athlete Institute in Mono, Canada, also known as Orangeville Prep. During his time at Orangeville Prep, Alexander was roommates with future NBA player Jamal Murray. He further developed his skills playing AAU basketball with CIA Bounce, again alongside Murray. This early dedicated involvement in basketball at a competitive level laid the groundwork for his collegiate and professional career.

Alexander played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers for four years, from 2015 to 2019. During his senior year, he achieved averages of 7.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game over 23.8 minutes. He demonstrated shooting efficiency by converting 61.4 percent of his field goals and 42.9 percent of his three-point attempts. His performance during this period contributed to the team reaching the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA tournament. After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, Alexander joined the Miami Heat for the 2019 NBA Summer League, subsequently signing a training camp contract on July 15, 2019.

His professional journey continued with a signing to a two-way contract with the Miami Heat on January 15, 2020. He made his NBA debut on August 6, 2020, recording one rebound in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Though the Heat advanced to the 2020 NBA Finals, they ultimately lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Following his time in the NBA, Alexander moved to international leagues, playing for Fuenlabrada in Spain from 2020 to 2022, the Scarborough Shooting Stars in Canada in 2022, Valencia in Spain from 2022 to 2023, Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel from 2023 to 2024, and most recently, Türk Telekom in Turkey, signing in July 2024 and renewing his contract in September 2025. He also earned a bronze medal with the Canadian National Team at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
