In 2018, he received the Off the Block Bryan Ivie Award as the nation’s best opposite player, in addition to being recognized on the All-Big West First-Team in 2018 and as the conference’s Player of the Year in 2019. His early career also saw him recognized as the 2014 All Santa Clarita Valley Player of the Year and the Daily News All-Area Player of the Year. Transitioning to professional play, Ensing joined international clubs, demonstrating immediate impact. With Berlin Recycling Volleys, he secured both the German SuperCup and German Cup during the 2019–2020 season.

His tenure with Maccabi Tel Aviv saw him win the Israeli Championship in consecutive seasons (2020–21 and 2021–22), adding the Israeli Cup in 2021–22. Ensing has been a consistent presence on the U.S. Men’s National Team, participating in the FIVB Nations League in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and the NORCECA Championship in 2019. He earned his first international medal with a bronze at the 2018 FIVB Nations League.

A significant career milestone came with his selection to the 12-player roster for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, representing the U.S. Men’s National Team. Ensing has continued to accumulate international medals, including a silver at the 2019 NORCECA Championship and another silver at the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. He further solidified his reputation by earning a gold medal at the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup in Japan.
