The legendary sportsman Lance Briggs is a former professional American football linebacker who spent his entire 12-year NFL career playing for the Chicago Bears. He is a 7x Pro Bowl, 2x Second-team All-Pro, a First-team All-Pro, and is regarded as one of the 100 Greatest Bears of All-Time. He currently serves as a Bears analyst for NBC Sports Chicago’s Football Aftershow. Away from sport, he is a lifelong comic book reader and fan. In 2020, alongside Kyle Higgins and Danilo Beyruth, he co-created The Trap, a sci-fi original graphic novel through a kickstarter campaign.
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Briggs was a natural sportsman throughout his High School years. He then attended the University of Arizona, and while there he was a 2x First-team All-Pac 10 Conference selection as a linebacker. He turned professional when he was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2003 NFL draft, signing a four-year $2 million dollar contract. He was re-signed to a six-year, $36 million contract in 2008. He was placed on the injury reserve list after the 2014 season, and finally retired from the game in September 2015. He had a hugely successful time with the Bears, becoming a 7x Pro Bowl (2005-2011), First-team All-Pro 2005, Second-team All-Pro 2006, and 2009, and was also named to the 100 Greatest Bears of All-Time. After retiring from the game he started working as a Bears analyst for NBC Sports Chicago.
Briggs regularly connects with his hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life around the gridiron. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
