Landry Bender

Landry Elizabeth Bender was born on August 3, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents are sportscaster Trey Bender and producer Amy Bender. When she was two years old, her family relocated to Phoenix, where she began her acting journey at the age of five, participating in acting classes at Desert Stages Theatre. She later attended and graduated from Oak Park Independent School, continuing to pursue her passion for performance.

Bender’s career began to develop with her role as Blithe Pedulla in the 2011 film “The Sitter.” This was followed by a main role as Cleo Bernstein in the Disney XD series “Crash & Bernstein” from 2012 to 2014, appearing in 35 episodes. She then took on a co-lead role as Cyd Ripley in the Disney Channel sitcom “Best Friends Whenever,” which aired for 31 episodes between 2015 and 2016. During this period, she also made a guest appearance as Cyd Ripley in an episode of “Liv and Maddie” in 2015. Her work with Disney continued as a recurring voice artist, portraying Makini in “The Lion Guard” from 2017 to 2019, where she was featured in 27 episodes.

Further expanding her acting credits, Bender joined the cast of the Netflix sitcom “Fuller House” as Rocki, appearing in a recurring capacity for 16 episodes from 2017 to 2020. In 2019, she held a main role as Sara Bankhead Harbert in the TV mini-series “Looking for Alaska,” participating in all 8 episodes. Her recent work includes a main role as Bella Whitmore in “The Republic of Sarah” in 2021, and the film “Pure O” in 2023, where she played Rachel. She is also credited as a co-producer for the upcoming 2025 film “Self-Help,” demonstrating her involvement behind the camera as well as in front of it.
