Hailing from Stirling but resident in Dubai, Scottish beauty and Love Island star Laura Anderson was a former air-hostess who became a household name after finishing the popular dating show as runner-up. She quickly established herself as a firm fan favourite because of her down-to-earth honesty, approachability and gentle humour, and has since built up a whopping 15m followers on social media.
A real entrepreneur and fashion icon, Anderson is the owner of LA Lox London, the hair extensions revelation, as well as having her own unique nail collection available through. And being an experienced TV personality already, Anderson has continued with her love of working within the media, presenting the BBC Sounds podcast, First, as well as writing a bright and breezy weekly column for Scottish newspaper, The Daily Record.
She recently came out in strong support of a British MP’s proposal to make it law for celebrities to have to label any images published or posted on social media that have been digitally altered. The Bill hopes to address the growing mental health crisis about body image, a subject Anderson believes needs to be addressed more seriously by her fellow celebrities. She posted a make-up free selfie in order to further highlight the air-brush ban debate.
