Lauren Hoffman, born on March 30, 1999, in Virginia, U.S., is a Filipino hurdler and sprinter representing the Philippines in international competitions. She pursued her education at Duke University, where she also competed in track and field for the Duke Blue Devils. During her collegiate career, Hoffman earned All-American first-team honors, collected multiple medals, and set school records. A significant achievement was winning a bronze medal at the 2022 NCAA Track and Field Championships, held in Eugene, Oregon.
After graduating from Duke University, Hoffman continued her professional training at the university’s Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium, with her former coach, Mark Mueller. This consistent training environment has been a foundation for her continued athletic development. In May 2024, Hoffman secured a gold medal in the 400m hurdles at the ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championship, achieving a time of 55.92 seconds.
Her career progression led to her debut with the Philippine national team at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, which took place in October 2023. In July 2024, she qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, where she competed in the women’s 400m hurdles. She ran 57.84 seconds in her qualifying heat and participated in the repechage races.
