Lena Stojković

Lena Stojković, born on January 3, 2002, in Split, Croatia, has established herself as a formidable force in the world of taekwondo. Her journey in the sport began early, leading to her participation in the Youth Olympic Games at the age of 16. In 2018, she earned a bronze medal in the 44 kg category at the Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and also secured a bronze medal at the World Taekwondo Junior Championships in Hammamet in the same weight class. These early achievements showcased her potential and set the stage for her senior career. Stojković has consistently competed in the 46 kg and 49 kg weight divisions, demonstrating her agility and skill.

Stojković’s senior career saw a rapid ascent to the top ranks of international taekwondo. She secured her first senior gold medal at the 2021 European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, competing in the 46 kg event. This victory marked a significant turning point, cementing her status as a leading athlete in her category. She successfully defended her European title in 2022 in Manchester, United Kingdom, and added a World Championship gold medal to her accolades in Guadalajara, Mexico, in the 46 kg division. The following year, 2023, proved to be another stellar period for Stojković, as she retained her World Championship title in Baku, Azerbaijan, and also won a gold medal at the European Games in Kraków-Małopolska, Poland.

Her dominance continued into 2024, where she claimed her third European Championship gold in Belgrade, Serbia. The pinnacle of her career to date came at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, where she earned a bronze medal in the women’s 49 kg event.
