Van Lierop’s achievements include a significant gold medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2023 World Rowing Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. The following year, he continued this success by securing a gold medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. He also earned a silver medal in the men’s eight at the 2022 World Rowing Championships in Račice, Czech Republic, and another silver in the men’s eight at the 2022 European Rowing Championships in Munich, Germany. In 2023, he took home a gold medal in single sculls at the European Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia.
Throughout his career, Van Lierop has regularly competed in World Rowing Cups, achieving notable placements such as gold in Men’s Quadruple Sculls at the 2024 World Rowing Cup I in Varese, Italy, and gold in the 2023 World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland, also in Men’s Quadruple Sculls. His involvement also extends to the 2025 World Rowing Championships, where he earned a bronze medal in the Men’s Four and participated in the Mixed Eight event.
