Les Miles

Les Miles is a distinguished American football coach, currently serving as the head coach of the University of Kansas. His coaching journey began at the University of Michigan, where he started as a graduate assistant in 1980. Miles quickly made a name for himself, moving on to coach the offensive line at the University of Colorado and later returning to Michigan, where he contributed to eight consecutive winning seasons and multiple bowl appearances, solidifying his reputation as a skilled strategist.

In 2001, Miles took the helm at Oklahoma State University, transforming a struggling program into a competitive force. Under his leadership, the Cowboys achieved a remarkable turnaround, culminating in a 2003 season that saw them finish with a 9-4 record and a bowl victory. His success at Oklahoma State paved the way for his next significant role at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he served as head coach from 2005 to 2016. During his tenure, Miles led the Tigers to a national championship in 2007 and consistently ranked among the top teams in the nation, earning multiple SEC titles.

After a brief hiatus, Miles returned to coaching at Kansas in 2019, where he continues to apply his extensive experience and innovative coaching techniques. His commitment to developing young talent and fostering a winning culture has already begun to show promising results for the Jayhawks.
