Joique Bell

Joique Dewayne Bell Jr., born on August 4, 1986, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, established a career that encompassed both professional football and entrepreneurial ventures. Bell played college football for Wayne State University, where he demonstrated significant talent and earned the Harlon Hill Trophy in 2009. This award recognized him as the Division II player of the year after a season in which he rushed for 2,084 yards and 29 touchdowns. His college jersey number, 5, was retired by Wayne State, marking his impact on the program.

Bell entered the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Over his career, he played for multiple teams, including the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, and most notably, the Detroit Lions. During his tenure with the Detroit Lions from 2011 to 2015, he achieved several career milestones. In the 2012 season, he appeared in all 16 games, accumulating 414 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, alongside 52 receptions for 485 yards. In 2013, he continued to perform, playing all 16 games, accumulating 650 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, plus 53 receptions for 547 receiving yards. Bell and teammate Reggie Bush became the first running back duo in NFL history to both exceed 500 rushing and 500 receiving yards in a single season. After his NFL career, which concluded in 2016, Bell pursued entrepreneurial interests, co-founding businesses and engaging in community initiatives in Detroit, reflecting his commitment to his hometown and education.
