Lewis Belt is an Oakland-born, Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and producer who gained significant recognition through his viral character, “Sonniebo.” This character has accumulated tens of millions of views across online platforms, establishing Belt as a notable digital personality early in his career. His comedic talent led him to television, where he was featured on Season 7 of MTV’s “Are You The One?”

His career progression includes notable achievements in stand-up comedy and production. Lewis Belt filmed his comedy special, “Rookie of the Year,” at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, which was part of “Boogie’s Comedy Slam.” This special achieved the ranking of number one on Amazon in the stand-up comedy category in 2020. He further expanded his repertoire by serving as a guest host on “So Dumb It’s Criminal,” a show hosted by Snoop Dogg on Peacock. In 2023, Lewis Belt also appeared in the film “House Party,” which was executive produced by LeBron James via SpringHill Company and New Line Cinema.

More recently, Lewis Belt has continued his work in film and comedy production. In 2023, he produced and wrote his TV Special, “Lewis Belt: Raised by OG’s Not IG.” He frequently headlines his own tours, showcasing his stand-up performances across the country.
