Lisa Whelchel

Lisa Whelchel commenced her starring role as Blair Warner on the iconic series The Facts of Life in 1979, a role she maintained for nine years until the series concluded in 1988. This followed her early television appearances, including a tenure on The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1977 to 1978. Whelchel expanded her versatile career into music with the release of her Christian pop album, All Because of You, in 1984, which garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Inspirational Performance in 1985. Parallel to her acting and music endeavors, Whelchel established herself as a prolific author, having penned ten books.

Following this, she co-hosted The Jeff Probst Show in 2013. Currently, Whelchel hosts the popular MeTV series Collector’s Call, a role she began in 2019 and continues into its slated sixth season in 2025. Demonstrating her continued connection to her celebrated past, she reunited with The Facts of Life cast for Live in Front of a Studio Audience in 2021 and hosted a dedicated Facts of Life marathon on MeTV in 2019. Beyond her on-screen work, Whelchel maintains an active presence as an inspirational speaker, delivering messages focused on faith and personal development, and has appeared in various television films.
