Olivia Paige Dunne was born on October 1, 2002, in Westwood, New Jersey, and grew up in Hillsdale. Her gymnastics journey began at ENA Gymnastics in Paramus in 2005. Early in her career, she was homeschooled using the Abeka Academy curriculum to accommodate her rigorous training schedule. Dunne made her elite debut at the 2014 American Classic, placing 28th all-around. She continued to progress, qualifying for the U.S. Classic and National Championships in 2015 and 2016. In March 2017, she was named to the US Junior Women’s National Team and competed at the City of Jesolo Trophy, finishing sixth all-around and contributing to the junior team’s overall title win. She concluded her junior elite career with a ninth-place finish at the 2017 U.S. National Championships.
Dunne turned senior elite in 2018, competing at the City of Jesolo Trophy and the U.S. Classic despite an ankle injury. She qualified for the 2018 U.S. National Championships. After taking a break from competition in 2019 to recover from injuries, she signed her National Letter of Intent with Louisiana State University (LSU) for the 2020–21 season, dropping to Level 10 and qualifying for the 2020 Nastia Liukin Cup, where she placed 11th. At LSU, Dunne earned All-America honors on uneven bars in her freshman year (2021). She maintained her presence in the bars lineup throughout her sophomore year (2022), matching a career-high score of 9.925 on bars and setting a career-high of 9.900 on floor. In 2024, she contributed to LSU’s first national championship title in program history and continued to compete on floor and bars despite managing injuries.
Simultaneously with her gymnastics career, Dunne cultivated a significant social media presence, joining TikTok in 2020 and quickly accumulating millions of followers. With the NCAA’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rule change in 2021, she became one of the most visible college athletes, signing with WME Sports as their first NIL athlete and securing partnerships with major brands. Her NIL valuation has reached an estimated $4.1 million, making her the top-ranked women’s athlete in college sports. She has expanded her influence to include modeling for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (2023, 2024, 2025 covers), launching “The Livvy Fund” to support female LSU athletes’ NIL opportunities, and featuring in Prime Video’s docuseries “The Money Game: LSU”. Dunne announced her retirement from gymnastics on April 17, 2025, to pursue opportunities in sports media, concluding a multifaceted career.
