Luis Suárez is a widely famed Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for the Spanish club Barcelona, the Uruguay national team and previously Liverpool football club. Suárez has been regarded by many as one of the best footballers in the world, certainly of his generation. Suárez has enjoyed an incredibly successful career in football, having won 18 trophies in his career. Over the course of his professional football career, he has won six league titles and has become renowned as a prolific goal scorer.
Suárez has won two European Golden Shoes, an Eredivisie Golden Boot, Premier League Golden Boot, La Liga’s Pichichi Trophy and many more awards owing to his outstanding ability to score goals. Suárez started his career at a young age, playing for Groningen in the Netherlands and Ajax, where he won his first trophy, the KNVB Cup and was named Dutch Footballer of the Year. It was in 2011 that Suárez transferred to Liverpool, winning the League Cup in his debut season.
