Malik Reed

A standout collegiate athlete, Malik Reed amassed 203 tackles and 22 sacks during his tenure at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2015 to 2018. After going undrafted in the highly competitive 2019 NFL Draft, Reed signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, quickly establishing himself as a valuable professional linebacker, defying expectations to secure a significant role on the team. Reed’s impressive professional career officially commenced with the Denver Broncos in 2019, where he swiftly became a key contributor. During his second season, he delivered a remarkable performance in Week 6 of the 2020 season, recording two crucial sacks against former MVP Cam Newton of the New England Patriots.

The following week, Reed achieved another two sacks against Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, highlighting his ability to impact high-stakes games. Across his three impactful seasons with the Broncos from 2019 to 2021, he played in 45 games, starting 34, and compiled an impressive 15 sacks alongside 123 combined tackles. In 2022, Reed was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he contributed significantly to their defensive line in 14 games. He then secured a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins in March 2023, further solidifying his position within the league.

Following his release from the Dolphins in August 2023, Reed joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad in September 2023, earning a promotion to the active roster later that year. After being waived by the Raiders in December 2023, he rejoined the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad in January 2024. Demonstrating consistent performance throughout his dynamic NFL career, Malik Reed has contributed significantly to his teams’ defensive efforts, accumulating a total of 16 sacks and 151 combined tackles across 63 games.
