Marc Savard transitioned from a prolific NHL player to an influential ice hockey coach, bringing extensive experience and a focus on creative offense to various teams. After winning the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as the OHL’s leading scorer twice, in 1995 and 1997, Marc Savard established himself as a prolific offensive talent, setting an Oshawa Generals franchise record for all-time points and leading the team to a J. Ross Robertson Cup appearance in 1997. His exceptional performance led to his selection by the New York Rangers as the 91st overall pick in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, marking the beginning of his distinguished National Hockey League (NHL) journey.
That same year, his legacy as a player was further cemented when he was named one of the Top 100 Best Bruins Players of all Time.
