Marcin Held, a distinguished Polish mixed martial artist renowned for his expertise in submission grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, became the youngest person in Poland to receive a jiu-jitsu black belt at 21 years old. Beginning his professional mixed martial arts career in 2008, Held quickly gained recognition, maintaining an impressive 8-0 undefeated record before his first professional loss in 2010. His early career saw him secure numerous grappling accolades, including a Gold Medal at the 2010 IBJJF European Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships (Purple Belt), Silver Medals at the 2010 FILA Grappling World Championships (Senior Gi) and 2010 FILA Pankration World Championships (Senior), and a Bronze Medal at the 2010 ADCC Submission Wrestling European Championships. He continued this success with Gold Medals at the 2011 ADCC Submission Wrestling Polish Championships and the 2011 FILA Grappling European Championships (Senior No-Gi), in addition to winning the MMA Challengers 2 Lightweight Tournament in 2009.

He is presently ranked #5 in the KSW Lightweight division, demonstrating his continued elite performance. His most recent accolade, ‘Submission of the Night,’ was earned at KSW 101 in 2024, underscoring his enduring commitment to technical grappling skills and consistent success in mixed martial arts.
