Marjorie Margolies is a distinguished leader and advocate for women’s rights, currently serving as the President of Women’s Campaign International (WCI). Under her leadership, WCI has empowered women globally through advocacy training, fostering a new generation of female leaders. Beginning her career as a television journalist in Philadelphia, Marjorie made a name for herself at WCAU-TV and later with NBC, where her reporting earned her five Emmy Awards. Her journalistic excellence laid a strong foundation for her subsequent political career, where she became a trailblazer as the first woman elected to Congress from Pennsylvania in her own right in 1992. During her tenure, she served on key committees, including Energy and Commerce, Small Business, and Government Operations, advocating for policies that benefitted her constituents.
