Marte Leinan Lund

Marte Leinan Lund, born on April 1, 2001, in Norway, is an active Nordic combined skier representing Tolga IL. Her professional career gained significant momentum with early successes in junior championships. In 2020, she secured a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Oberwiesenthal in the Mixed Team Normal Hill event. This was followed by another gold in the Mixed Team Normal Hill and a silver in the Individual Normal Hill at the 2021 World Junior Championships in Lahti. These early achievements established her as a promising talent in the sport. Lund later debuted in the first-ever women’s Nordic combined World Cup race in Ramsau on December 18, 2020, where she finished 4th. This marked her entry into the senior international circuit, where she has consistently competed at the highest levels.

A significant milestone in Lund’s career occurred at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf, where she earned a bronze medal in the inaugural women’s individual normal hill/5 km event. She shared this podium with her sister, Mari Leinan Lund, and fellow Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen, highlighting a strong national presence in the sport.
