Matthew Thomas Ryan, born on May 17, 1985, in Exton, Pennsylvania, established a notable career as an American professional football quarterback. He attended William Penn Charter School, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, and was recognized with All-East and All-Southeastern Pennsylvania honors as a senior quarterback. Ryan later played college football for the Boston College Eagles from 2003 to 2007, where he redshirted his first year. He earned the Manning Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award as a senior, signaling his potential as a top quarterback prospect.
Ryan was selected by the Atlanta Falcons as the third overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft. He quickly made an impact, leading the Falcons to the playoffs in his rookie season and earning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. During his 14 seasons with the Falcons, he guided the team to six playoff appearances, three division titles, and a Super Bowl LI appearance in 2016.
