Matthew VanLeeuwen is a makeup artist based in Los Angeles. He has worked with notable individuals such as Salma Hayek, Katie Holmes, Idina Menzel, and Scarlett Johansson. His work has appeared in various prominent fashion publications, including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Vogue. VanLeeuwen developed an interest in makeup artistry during his childhood, pursuing it professionally after college.
His career includes significant contributions to film and television. He served as the personal makeup artist for Jennifer Lopez during the production of her 2001 film, “The Wedding Planner.” Additionally, he worked as a makeup artist for supermodel Heidi Klum during her appearances on “Project Runway” and “Models of the Runway” in 2009 and 2010. His professional experience spans multiple feature films and television series, further establishing his presence in the entertainment industry.
In recent years, VanLeeuwen has also expanded his entrepreneurial activities beyond makeup. He co-founded the Miracle City Bakery in Conroe, Texas, with celebrity skincare specialist Yolanda “Yoliglo” Mata. This micro-bakery project operates within the Moco Foodhall and offers a selection of baked goods.
