Max Balegde, born Max Trobe in Darwen, England, commenced his social media career in January 2020 on TikTok. He quickly gained recognition for his humorous content, pop culture commentary, and personal narratives. Before his digital success, Balegde studied at Newcastle University and worked in a fish-and-chip shop, initially intending to pursue digital marketing. His early online content, including a viral Cameo video and shopping trip depictions, established his online persona, leading to a global audience of over four million across platforms by 2025, with 3.6 million on TikTok and 600,000 on Instagram.
His career progression includes transitioning from social media to mainstream broadcasting. Balegde has undertaken live presenting and hosting roles, interviewing celebrities such as Zendaya, Austin Butler, Paul Mescal, and Millie Bobby Brown. His interview with Millie Bobby Brown in 2024 achieved viral status on TikTok.
