Max Rushden

Max Rushden established himself as a prominent voice in sports broadcasting, hosting BBC London 94.9’s breakfast show from December 2006 to March 2008. His career significantly advanced when he joined Sky Sports in August 2008, where he co-presented the popular Saturday morning program, Soccer AM, alongside Helen Chamberlain until 2015, becoming a recognizable fixture for football fans across the UK. Following his tenure at Soccer AM, Rushden transitioned to radio, hosting a weekly Sunday show with Barry Glendenning on Talksport, and later adding a Saturday morning show with comedian Charlie Baker. His expertise also led to occasional work for BBC Radio 5 Live.

Demonstrating his versatility across media platforms, he also serves as a regular panellist on Network 10’s popular program, The Project, as of 2024. Further diversifying his media portfolio in the current year, August 2024 marked the co-launch of a new podcast, ‘What Did You Do Yesterday?’, alongside Irish comedian and broadcaster David O’Doherty. Building on his successful partnership with Stan Sport, October 2024 saw Rushden launch ‘The A-Leagues Download’, a new weekly online show dedicated to covering the A-League Men. He continues his highly successful work as the main host of The Guardian’s Football Weekly and his role as a key presenter for Stan Sport’s football coverage, cementing his position as a respected and sought-after voice in global sports media.
