Max Rushden is a well-known English radio and television presenter, renowned for his engaging and insightful work in football media. Currently, he is the host of The Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast, a role he has excelled in since becoming its main presenter in 2017. The podcast is known for its blend of thorough football analysis, commentary on significant issues, and light-hearted banter, making it a favorite among football fans.
Rushden’s broadcasting career began with BBC London 94.9’s breakfast show from December 2006 to March 2008. He made a notable career shift when he chose to present Sky Sports’ Soccer AM from August 2008 to 2015, over an offer to join Blue Peter. Alongside Helen Chamberlain, Rushden brought a fresh and dynamic energy to the Saturday morning show. He now hosts a popular weekly Sunday show with Barry Glendenning on Talksport and has frequently appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live.
