Max Thieriot

Maximillion Drake Thieriot was born on October 14, 1988, in Los Altos Hills, California, and was raised in Occidental, CA. He graduated from Sonoma Country Day School in 2002 and El Molino High School in 2006. His acting career began after taking an improvisation class and modeling for GAP. He also appeared in two short films before making his major film debut in 2004’s “Catch That Kid,” starring alongside Kristen Stewart and Corbin Bleu. In the early stages of his career, Thieriot was recognized for his roles in family-friendly films.

He gained further recognition with significant roles in films such as “The Pacifier” (2005), where he played one of the children protected by Vin Diesel’s character, and “Nancy Drew” (2007), in which he co-starred opposite Emma Roberts as Ned Nickerson. His filmography continued to expand with appearances in “Jumper” (2008), playing a younger version of Hayden Christensen’s character, and “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl” (2008). Transitioning to more mature roles, Thieriot appeared in the drama thriller “Chloe” (2009) as Michael Stewart, the son of Julianne Moore’s character, and took on a lead role in Wes Craven’s horror thriller “My Soul to Take” (2010).

Thieriot made his television series debut in 2013, portraying Dylan Massett in the A&E series “Bates Motel,” which ran until 2017. He also played Jack Hays in the History Channel mini-series “Texas Rising” (2015). From 2017 to 2022, he starred as Navy SEAL Clay Spenser in the CBS drama series “SEAL Team.” Demonstrating his versatility and expanded role in the industry, Thieriot co-created, writes, and executive produces the CBS drama series “Fire Country” (2022–present), in which he also stars as Bode Leone. He made his directorial debut with a “Bates Motel” episode in 2017 and has since directed episodes of “SEAL Team” and “Fire Country.” Outside of acting, Thieriot is also a vintner, owning vineyards in Occidental with childhood friends and distributing wine under the label Senses.
