About

Meghann Fahy was born on April 25, 1990, in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, USA. Her career began in theatre, with a notable role as the standby for Natalie Goodman in Arena Stage’s production of ‘Next to Normal’ in late 2008. She continued with the cast during its transfer to the Booth Theatre on Broadway, taking over as the principal actor for Natalie on July 19, 2010. She performed this role on Broadway until the production closed on January 16, 2011. Fahy has also participated in readings for stage adaptations and recorded demos for composers’ works, such as Bree Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan’s ‘The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown’ in 2009. She briefly reprised her role as Natalie Goodman in the first national tour of ‘Next to Normal’ in May 2011 and starred in ‘The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown’ at Goodspeed Opera House from August 4 to August 28, 2011. Additional theatre credits include a concert reading of ‘Twilight: The Musical’ as Bella in January 2012, a production of ‘We Are The Tigers’ at Feinstein’s/54 Below in January 2015, ‘Lost Girls’ Off-Broadway in fall 2015, and Penelope Skinner’s play ‘Linda’ Off-Broadway in winter 2017.

Fahy’s television career began in February 2010 with a recurring role as college student Hannah O’Connor on ABC’s ‘One Life to Live’, a role she reprised in January 2012. Her early television appearances also included a guest spot on ‘Gossip Girl’ as Devyn and the Hallmark Hall of Fame film ‘The Lost Valentine’ in 2011, where she played a young Caroline Thomas. In 2012, she appeared in the miniseries ‘Political Animals’ as Georgia and guest-starred on ‘Necessary Roughness’ as Olivia DiFlorio. She also had a three-episode arc on ‘Chicago Fire’ as Nicki Rutkowski in 2012 and appeared in ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ in 2014. From 2017 to 2021, Fahy gained significant recognition for her main role as Sutton Brady in the Freeform drama series ‘The Bold Type’. In 2018, she appeared in an episode of ‘Deception’ and starred in the TV movie ‘Just Add Romance’ in 2019.

A significant turning point in Fahy’s career occurred in February 2022 when she was cast as Daphne Sullivan in the second season of the HBO anthology series ‘The White Lotus’. Her performance received critical acclaim, leading to a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In February 2023, she received a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for ‘The White Lotus’. Fahy’s recent projects include the Netflix mystery series ‘The Perfect Couple’ (2024) and the thriller film ‘Drop’ (2025). For her upcoming role as Devon DeWitt in the limited series ‘Sirens’ (2025), she has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Her performance in ‘Drop’ as a domestic violence survivor was singled out by Empire magazine, noting “her groundedness is the antidote to the film’s silliness.”
