Michael Auger first achieved national recognition as a member of the musical theatre group Collabro, winners of the eighth series of Britain’s Got Talent. After forming in January 2014, Collabro auditioned for the show, earning a standing ovation for their rendition of ‘Stars’ from ‘Les Misérables’ from all judges, including Simon Cowell. They advanced through the competition, securing the highest public vote in the semi-finals with ‘Bring Him Home,’ and ultimately won the series on June 7, 2014, capturing 26.5% of the public vote with their re-arranged performance of ‘Stars.’ Following this victory, Collabro signed a record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music on June 12, 2014. Their debut album, ‘Stars,’ released on August 15, 2014, immediately topped the UK Albums Chart, reaching number one on August 24, 2014.
This was swiftly followed by the announcement of ‘The Harmonies Tour’ on June 9, 2025, underscoring Michael Auger’s ongoing integral role in Collabro’s journey and future engagements.
