Michael Matteo Rossi

Michael Matteo Rossi was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He became actively involved in film projects early in his career, driven by an interest in writing, producing, and directing. Over almost 20 years, he has contributed to various cinematic endeavors. His work often focuses on thrillers and dramas, demonstrating his commitment to storytelling within the independent film scene. He has continued to develop his craft, consistently working on new projects and expanding his filmography.

Rossi gained recognition for his feature film “Misogynist.” This project, starring Jonathan Bennett, Eve Mauro, and Tracey Bregman, was critically acclaimed and won the Best Narrative Feature award at the Los Angeles Underground Film Festival. Following this success, he directed and wrote the action-thriller “Chase,” released in 2019 through Vertical Entertainment. “Chase” starred Damien Puckler, Aries Spears, and Jessica Morris, and received the Best Action Film Award at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. This film further established his presence in the independent film industry as both a director and a writer.

He has continued to expand his directorial portfolio with additional feature films. These include “Shadows”, acquired by Acort International for domestic and international release, “The Handler,” “The Charisma Killers,” “Murder Syndicate,” and “Sable.” Rossi also engages with his audience and aspiring filmmakers through platforms like Cameo, offering advice and encouragement. His career reflects a sustained focus on independent filmmaking, earning him several awards and distribution deals for his projects.
