Mike McDaniel

Mike McDaniel has carved out a successful career as an Football coach, currently serving as the head coach for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. After beginning his NFL coaching career as an intern for the Denver Broncos in 2005, Mike McDaniel went on to join the Houston Texans as an offensive assistant from 2006 to 2008, where he gained valuable experience working under three different offensive coordinators. He further expanded his expertise over two seasons (2009-2010) as the running backs coach for the Sacramento Mountain Lions in the United Football League. McDaniel then returned to the NFL, serving as an offensive assistant for the Washington Commanders from 2011 to 2012, before being promoted to wide receivers coach for the team in 2013.

In his inaugural season in 2022, McDaniel immediately led the Miami Dolphins to a playoff berth, and followed this with a second consecutive playoff appearance in 2023. This achievement marked the first time the franchise had made back-to-back playoff appearances in over two decades, since the 2000-01 seasons. Under his leadership, the Miami Dolphins also led the NFL in total offense in 2023, a feat not accomplished by the team since 1994. Further cementing his impact, McDaniel coached the Dolphins to an NFL record-setting 70-point game in 2023, demonstrating his innovative offensive strategies and immediate leadership capabilities in the professional football landscape.
