Lê Ngọc Minh Hằng, known professionally as Minh Hang, was born on June 22, 1987, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her entertainment career commenced at the age of 16, initially as a member of various girl groups. In 2003, she co-founded the group Pha Lê, followed by Tiamo. Her acting debut occurred in the film Gió Thiên Đường, where she secured a starring role after a single audition. In 2005, she signed a two-year exclusive acting contract with Lasta Entertainment. A pivotal moment in her career arrived in 2007 with the success of the television series “Gọi Giấc Mơ Về” (Calling The Dream), where her portrayal of Phụng garnered considerable attention, earning her the “Favorite Actress of the Year” award at the HTV Awards in 2009.
Minh Hang further expanded her musical endeavors. In 2008, she released her debut album, “Một Vòng Trái Đất,” which achieved commercial success. That same year, she undertook a national live show tour across Vietnam. Her film career progressed with notable roles, such as the lead in the romantic comedy film “Giải Cứu Thần Chết” (Rescuing the God of Death) in 2008, which grossed 14 billion VND within 15 days of its release. In 2009, she starred as Minh Minh in the Vietnamese remake of “Full House,” titled “Ngôi nhà hạnh phúc.” Minh Hang continued to receive recognition for her acting, winning another “Favorite Actress of the Year” award at the HTV Awards in 2011 for her role in “Đối mặt.” In 2012, she won “Bước nhảy hoàn vũ” (Dancing with the Stars), further highlighting her versatility as a performer.
Transitioning into a solo artist in 2011, Minh Hang solidified her standing as a prominent figure in Vietnamese entertainment. She became a sought-after brand ambassador, earning the moniker “Queen of Commercial.” In 2018, she took on the role of coach on “The Face Vietnam” alongside Thanh Hang and Vo Hoang Yen, and ventured into film production with her debut movie “Mùa Viết Tình Ca” (Season of Love Songs). Her career has been marked by a consistent presence across music, film, and television, with numerous awards and successful projects contributing to her enduring popularity.
