Miriam Isa was born to Cuban-Lebanese parents and grew up in Miami, where she developed an early interest in the arts. She pursued formal training in acting at New World School of the Arts High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Florida State University. Before embarking on her professional career in media, Miriam participated in international beauty pageants, achieving a top 5 placement in the Miss Florida USA pageant. Her early career also included work in television, film, and theater, and her voice has been featured in radio and televised commercials, demonstrating her diverse talents from a young age.
Isa progressed into hosting, traveling across the US and Europe. She was instrumental in the launch of Es Musica, one of the world’s first mobile phone Latin music news shows. Following this, she co-launched Clevver Teve, which became YouTube’s top-ranked Spanish-language entertainment news channel and part of Defy Media’s Clevver Media platform. This channel achieved recognition as one of the Top 20 most viewed within YouTube’s premium channel initiative. Miriam also regularly provided entertainment news coverage for Clevver TV and Clevver News. Her work expanded to include hosting a weekly sports show on ESPN Deportes digital and conducting celebrity interviews that were broadcast on platforms such as Yahoo and AOL. Additionally, she hosted “The Roja,” a yoga television show aired weekly both domestically and internationally on the Inti Network. More recently, she hosted live for CBSi and AT&T on their music series Stageside.
Miriam also took on a role as a producer and correspondent for E! News, Al Jazeera’s BeIn Sport, and continued to contribute to YouTube’s Clevver Media. At E! News, she was the first personality hired by the network to both host and produce her own shows, highlighting her commitment to shaping content. Her interview subjects have ranged from Academy Award winners to political prisoners and Super Bowl champions. Beyond her entertainment work, Miriam cultivated an audience for her political and cultural commentary, showcasing her broad range of interests and abilities within media.
