The affable Mitch Blaschke is the heavy equipment mechanic and foreman on the Discovery Channel’s hit reality TV show, Gold Rush. He and his family are favourites on the programme, and he has built up a huge following on social media.
Blaschke was born and raised in Oregon. He started his mechanic career when he was just 14-years old, working in a collision repair shop after school so he could fund his love of kart racing. Blaschke joined the reality TV series Gold Rush in 2012 and has been followed on the show ever since. As the main mechanic, he first appeared in Season 3, working with Todd Hoffman’s crew. He later became a full-time series member on Season 5, joining Parker Schnabel’s team. When Blaschke isn’t working on the gold mines, he lives at home with his wife Hailey and daughter Mia in the town of Sandy, and spends his spare time snowmobiling and racing cars.
Blaschke regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, posting pictures and videos of his personal and professional life in and around the gold mines. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
