Nic Fink, a two-time Olympian and distinguished multi-medalist, secured one gold and two silver medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This outstanding achievement builds on his 5th place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics (held in 2021) in the 200m breaststroke, marking a career defined by consistent national and international success. Beyond his elite athletic performance, Fink holds a Master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Tech and contributes his expertise as an engineer for Quanta Services, demonstrating a unique ability to excel in both demanding fields. Fink’s professional swimming career gained significant momentum following his initial qualification for the US Olympic Trials in 2012.

In 2021, Fink qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the 200m breaststroke, and simultaneously set new American records in the short course 50m breaststroke (25.72 seconds), 4x100m medley relay, and 100m breaststroke (55.56 seconds). His dominant performance at the 2021 World Short Course Championships earned him three gold medals: the 200m breaststroke, 50m breaststroke, and 4x50m medley relay. Fink further solidified his world leader status in 2022. At the World Aquatics Championships, he secured bronze in the 100m breaststroke, gold in the 50m breaststroke (American record), and gold in the 4x100m mixed medley relay, alongside a silver in the 4x100m medley relay.

Later that year, at the World Short Course Championships, he set a world record in the 4x50m mixed medley relay, and clinched three golds (100m, 50m breaststroke, 4x100m medley relay) and two silvers (200m breaststroke, 4x50m medley relay). He then earned a gold in the 100m breaststroke at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, culminating in his multi-medal performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Fink’s unparalleled career includes 8 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze World Championship medals, in addition to his Olympic accolades.
