Nick Pollard is a seasoned director and CEO with extensive experience leading major infrastructure, construction, and waste management companies, known for driving significant business improvements and strategic transformations. After orchestrating a significant transformation at Cory Environmental Group, evolving it into a focused waste logistics and Energy from Waste (EfW) business, Nick Pollard went on to lead its successful acquisition in 2018 by an investor consortium. Appointed CEO of Cory in November 2015, Pollard was instrumental in developing the company into a UK leader, with its Riverside EfW facility becoming one of the nation’s largest, processing approximately 750,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually. His strategic leadership significantly reduced reliance on landfills and minimized lorry transport through the innovative utilization of the River Thames.

Earlier, between 2007 and 2010, Pollard held multiple director positions within the Bovis Construction and Lendlease Group, including Director for Bovis Construction (Europe) Limited, BEONSITE, and Lendlease Europe Holdings Limited. Pollard’s early career saw him hold directorships, progressing through significant companies like Skanska. From January 2005 to September 2007, he served as a Director and Managing Director for Skanska UK PLC, Skanska Construction UK Limited, Skanska Technology Limited, and Skanska J.V. Projects Ltd.

He also held roles as Director and Managing Director for Skanska Major Projects Limited from October 2005 to August 2007. Prior to this, he was a Director for Genesa Limited from November 2002 to January 2005. Currently, Nick Pollard continues to pursue new opportunities, including his role as Chair of Tilbury Douglas Group. He also contributes his extensive industry expertise as a member of the CBI Infrastructure Board, advising on critical national infrastructure development and policy.
