Nick Swardson

Nick Swardson established his versatile career with his first Comedy Central Presents special in 2001, following an early start in stand-up comedy where he earned the ‘Funniest Person in the Twin Cities’ award and performed at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival at age 20. Transitioning to film and television, Swardson secured a role in the 2000 film Almost Famous. He then co-wrote the screenplay for the 2003 feature film Malibu’s Most Wanted before beginning his recurring role as Terry Bernadino in the acclaimed Comedy Central series Reno 911!

from 2003 to 2009. This period marked the beginning of Swardson’s prolific collaboration with Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions. Their first joint venture, the 2006 film Grandma’s Boy, saw Swardson co-write, co-produce, and star in the project. The same year, he co-wrote and starred in The Benchwarmers.

More recently, Swardson was featured in Netflix’s Comedians of the World in 2019 and starred in the 2020 film The Wrong Missy. He continued his voice acting work as Cinnabun in the 2023 animated feature Leo. Looking ahead, Swardson served as an executive producer for the 2024 special Nick Swardson: Make Joke from Face and is slated for an upcoming role in Happy Gilmore 2, expected in 2025. He maintains a rigorous schedule, continuing to tour globally with his stand-up comedy.
