Kevin Cottam

Kevin Cottam is an award-winning executive coach, author, and global keynote speaker with a focus on leadership and personal development. He is the CEO of Go Nomading Pte Ltd, an organization dedicated to leadership learning and development grounded in his ‘Nomadic Mindset’ philosophy. His professional journey includes over two decades of coaching, speaking, and training, notably serving the European Union Institutions for 13 years as a coach and trainer starting in January 2005. Kevin’s unique approach to leadership is informed by extensive global research into ancient nomadic wisdom, which he has integrated into his book, “The Nomadic Mindset: Never Settle…for Too Long,” and a behavioral assessment tool, the Nomadic Mindset Dominance Assessment (NMDA). He has delivered his insights to diverse audiences, including MPI, SITE, and ASAE conferences across various international locations such as Canada, USA, Jordan, Dubai, Copenhagen, and Davos.

Prior to his work in leadership development, Kevin built a career in the entertainment industry as an elite figure skating choreographer, working with world and Olympic champions. His creative leadership extended to directing and choreographing major public events, such as the 1988 Olympic Closing Ceremonies, and productions like Holiday on Ice and Disney on Ice. These experiences in high-performance environments equipped him with a foundational understanding of discipline, vision, and team dynamics, which he now applies to coaching and training leaders. His expertise covers areas such as change management, resilience, vision setting, team unity, and engagement. Kevin is a Certified Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach, a Success Unlimited Coach, and an NLP Practitioner, holding a PCC certification from the International Coaching Federation. He is also an active member of professional speaking associations in Asia Pacific, the Global Speaking Federation, and Malaysia.

His commitment to continuous learning and global exploration has been a consistent theme throughout his career. Kevin’s research into nomadic cultures, particularly in Mongolia, Kenya, and Morocco, underpins his leadership framework, offering fresh perspectives on navigating a complex world. He has worked with multinational organizations such as Novartis, Club Med, Givaudan, L’Oreal, Nestle, and UBS. In 2023, Kevin Cottam was recognized as the ‘Most Inspiring Global Leadership Speaker’ by Corporate Vision Award for ‘The Nomadic Mindset,’ and Go Nomading Pte Ltd received a Corporate Vision Award for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, he was acknowledged by Coach Foundation as one of the ‘Top Leadership Coaches.’ His philanthropic efforts include financially supporting the education of Maasai children in Kenya, demonstrating his dedication to giving back to the communities that inspired his work.
