Nika Kljun began her dance journey in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at her parents’ dance school, Bolero. From a young age, she demonstrated exceptional talent, competing and dancing professionally since three years old. Her early training encompassed various styles, including jazz, tap, Latin, ballroom, and funk, but hip-hop became her primary passion. Kljun achieved recognition as an undefeated champion in her youth, winning gold as a soloist at world championships and becoming a Nike global spokesperson, which significantly elevated her international profile. Her success as a professional dancer and choreographer across Europe eventually led her to pursue broader opportunities in Los Angeles.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Nika Kljun established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. She has contributed her dance and choreographic talents to major projects for global artists such as Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, One Direction, and Cher Lloyd. Her work is also visible in significant television productions like America’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance (USA, Ukraine & Portugal). Kljun’s creative input has extended to commercial campaigns, including Kellogg’s, and tours such as Moves Live on Tour with Derek and Julianne Hough. In 2015, she was part of Justin Bieber’s dance team, further solidifying her presence in high-profile events. She has also served as a creative partner for Disney, choreographing for both television and international theme parks.
Beyond performing and choreographing, Nika Kljun is committed to dance education. She has conducted workshops and taught classes in over 31 countries across Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, and Asia. Through her intensive training programs and online courses, she shares her expertise with both beginner and advanced dancers. Her approach aims to adequately prepare students for professional stages, focusing on versatility and technique. Kljun’s work as an educator, combined with her extensive industry experience, has established her as a significant mentor within the international dance community, fostering the next generation of dancers and choreographers.
