Nile Wilson is one of the most accomplished English artistic gymnasts of his time. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro he won a bronze medal in the horizontal bar and this came just a year after being a member of the silver medal winning British team at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastic Championships on Glasgow. 2014 was also the year he made his senior debut for England and in the same 12 months he won a further four medals., two of which were gold at the Commonwealth Games of 2014. As such he is the reigning Commonwealth Games champion on horizontal bar. Born in Leeds in 1996, Nile was a real talent from the off and received the Young Sportsman male award at the Leeds Sports Awards. Early 2017 saw him have a freak accident where he snapped his ankle ligaments, and this kept him out for a number of months. Committed to getting back strong than ever, he will receive the best possible advice and support to assist in his recovery. This adversity will not stop Nile Wilson from being one of the most dedicated sportsmen of his generation.
