Nile Wilson

Nile Wilson achieved a historic milestone in May 2014, becoming the first British gymnast to win five gold medals at the European Junior Gymnastics Championships in Sofia. This followed his recognition as British Junior Champion in March 2014 and earning the Young Sportsman male award at the Leeds Sports Awards. This exceptional junior performance led to his selection for the England Commonwealth Games team, marking his transition to senior-level competition. Wilson’s senior career immediately delivered significant results at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where he secured a team gold for England, an individual all-around bronze, a silver in parallel bars, and his first individual Commonwealth gold on the horizontal bar.

Wilson maintains a significant media presence through his popular YouTube channels, ‘Nile Wilson’ and ‘Neil and Nile Vlogs’, which feature content ranging from workouts and daily life to gymnastics. Building on his passion for the sport, Wilson established ‘Nile Wilson Gymnastics’, an entrepreneurial venture dedicated to increasing participation in gymnastics across the UK. This initiative operates through multiple clubs in key locations including Burnley, The Wirral, London, Leeds, Rotherham, Coventry, Mansfield, and Wolverhampton, fostering new talent and promoting healthy lifestyles within communities.
