Nolan Harrison III

Nolan Harrison III transitioned from a ten-year NFL career to a dedicated advocate for player rights and well-being, now serving as the Senior Director for NFLPA Former Player Services. After being drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders in the sixth round of the 1991 NFL Draft, Nolan Harrison III embarked on a decorated ten-year professional career as a defensive end and defensive tackle. He played for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders from 1991 to 1996, the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1997 to 1999, and concluded his playing tenure with the Washington Redskins in 2000. During his formidable NFL career, Harrison recorded a total of 241 tackles, 22 sacks, and 5 forced fumbles, solidifying his reputation as a tenacious presence on the field.

He is instrumental in developing vital resources, benefits, and opportunities tailored for the former player community. His responsibilities include educating players about their earned benefits, advocating for their rights within the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and preserving their workers’ compensation entitlements. A recognized thought leader, Harrison also delivered a TEDx Talk at Indiana University titled ‘Childhood Dreams of Heroes, My Long and Winding Road,’ sharing insights from his unique journey and dedication to athlete welfare.
