Noura Salman is an American entrepreneur and reality star currently best known for finishing as a runner-up on Survivor: Island of the Idols, the 39th season of the epic reality franchise that aired in 2019. Her larger-than-life personality and approach to initial tasks on the show gave rise to the “Nora knows best” mantra that has since become her Instagram and Twitter handle. Despite the show finishing in 2019 (and the notoriously limited shelf-life of reality contestants), Salman has remained in the spotlight, most notably for not being afraid to voice her opinions on current affairs with her 41,000 followers. As an entrepreneur, she is keen on promoting healthy living and vegan food, most notably SuperFreshies, a brand of superfood refreshments that she invented and is the founder and CEO of.
Salman hails from Potomac, Maryland, a place itself famous in the reality TV world for the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Potomac. In 2019, she successfully auditioned for Survivor: Island of the Idols, which took place on the beautiful Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. Of the 20 castaways, she immediately became a favourite of the viewing public, as she put her heart and soul into everything she did on the island. Although the series ran into controversy around sexist behaviour, Salman endured and finished second runner-up, although there are plenty who think that she should have won.
The exposure of surviving Survivor has brought Salman’s real passion, health and healthy eating, to a national audience and will no doubt assist her natural flair for entrepreneurship in SuperFreshies becoming a success.
